Branko Bogdanić was born in Zagreb in 1981, where he graduated from the XV Gymnasium (MIOC), and then from the Medical Faculty of the University of Zagreb (2006). He completed his internship at the Clinical Hospital Center Zagreb. For the next year he worked at the Institute of Anthropology, under the supervision of academician Pavle Rudan.
At the beginning of 2009. begins a specialization in general surgery at the University Hospital Center Zagreb and enrolls in doctoral studies at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb.
He received his doctorate in July 2013. with the topic Analysis of the use of antimicrobial drugs and microbiological findings as a method of monitoring the prevalence of nosocomial infections in a clinical hospital. At the end of 2013. completes a specialization in general surgery, and is permanently employed at the Department of Oncological Surgery, University Hospital Center Zagreb.
He acquired the scientific title of research associate in 2014. at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb. Subspecialization in abdominal / digestive surgery ends in 2018. He teaches several postgraduate studies and postgraduate courses in continuing medical education at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb.
He has published 7 scientific and professional papers in international, peer-reviewed journals, 2 chapters in books, and over 20 papers at scientific and professional congresses.
He is a member of the Croatian Surgical Society, the Croatian Society for Endoscopic Surgery, the Croatian Society for Accelerated Recovery after Surgery (CRO_ERAS).
He is married, the father of two daughters, and in his spare time he plays tennis and ski.
